Shipping & Warranty

*Shipping to the EU is DDP - inclusive of all local taxes and duties.

Standard shipping times and costs (excluding bikes):

UK 1-3 days £5.00 (free over £100)
US 1-3 days £25.00
EU 3-5 days £15.00
Rest of the world 4-7 days £50.00

Bicycles (except Paddle) are assembled to order and typically take 1 week to build prior to collection / shipping with delivery costs as follows:

Adult bicycles £50.00 (UK) / £60.00 (EU) / £250.00 (rest of the world)

Bicycles for delivery within the UK will be assembled by hand at our London store and shipped 'ready to ride'.

Local deliveries (within M25) are by same day courier. A 2/3 day service is used for deliveries outside Greater London.

Overseas bike shipping:
tokyobike want to ensure that your bike will be assembled by a professional mechanic in order that its safe and enjoyable to ride. Professional assembly is also required to validate your warranty. So for shipping outside the UK we can arrange delivery to your local bike store (recommended) or direct to your address if you plan to organise assembly with a local mechanic.

The cost of the assembly will be credited by way of a tokyobike gift voucher for £60.00 upon receipt of the assembly invoice.

If choosing a local bike shop please provide the address in the 'notes' at checkout or just specify LBS (local bike shop) if you want us to select a store for you.

Warranty
toykyobike are proud to offer a lifetime warranty on all frames and forks. The warranty applies to the original retail purchaser and covers defects in material and workmanship.

Limited warranty coverage on bicycle components (excluding tyres, tubes and cables) is one year from the date of purchase, while owned by the original retail purchaser. This limited warranty does not cover:

Normal ‘wear and tear’ eg punctures, a stretched chain or scratches / chips on paintwork.

Any damage, failure or loss caused by accident, misuse, neglect, abuse, or failure to follow instructions and warnings in the owner’s manual.

Any damage, failure or loss caused by non intended use of bicycles. Bending of frames, forks, handlebars, seat posts or wheel rims can be a sign of misuse.

Limited warranty service will be performed by tokyobike, an authorised dealer or mechanic. Proof of purchase must be provided. Labour charges connected with the repair or replacement of parts and transportation to and from the repair location is the responsibility of the purchaser. tokyobike will have the option of either repair or replacement at no charge for any defective product, or repayment of any amount equal to the purchase price of the product. In the event, tokyobike elects to replace a defective frame, a new frame of equal or greater value will be provided. The new frame may not be the exact model purchased.

Returns
In store purchases can be returned within 14 days for a credit note or exchange. For online orders you have 14 days after receiving your item to request an exchange or full refund. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Damaged / Faulty items
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is either defective, damaged or not as ordered so that we can solve the issue.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items including some bikes), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund and it to show in your account.
