Oya Seisakusho founded in 1949 in Tokyo, they have been making Oroshigane (Japanese grater) since then. Oroshigane is an essential tool in the Japanese kitchen. Traditionally made from thin tin-coated copper plates, they tend to have sharper teeth than regular graters to produce a very fine textured grate perfect for garlic, ginger, daikon, and horseradish.
